I turned 37 this weekend. 🎉
We spent my birthday (Friday) traveling down to Orlando, FL.
Despite all the negative chatter about EWR in the news recently, we (thankfully) had a pretty normal flight experience. A small delay due to rain, but they made up time in the air.
Pizza Fridays in Florida wasn't too bad.
After the kids went down, Dia and I spent the last hour of my birthday walking around the hotel. We scoped out where we wanted to set up at the pool in the morning.
While we waited for the sun to warm up the pool, we took a pedal boat out on the hotel's lake.
Disney Springs
Photo-dump: In the afternoon we checked out Disney Springs FKA Downtown Disney.
It rained sporadically while we were there, but the 90-degree weather made up for it. Ended Saturday with some gelato.
We're going to Magic Kingdom today. The kids have no idea. We fully anticipate them freaking out. In both good ways and bad.
For starters, they're both deathly afraid of people in costume (when you can't see their human faces). But they also LOVE Disney characters so it's a mixed bag.
We're hoping it's a brief meltdown followed by a full day of fun and laughter.
