Losing a family member is difficult.
Losing a child is unimaginable.
Later today, we will say goodbye to a young (22-month-old), beautiful, bright boy named Zayn.
Zayn has dealt with health complications since birth.
More recently, his body rejected the procedure that was supposed to give him a shot at a “normal” life.
My heart bleeds for my brother, Yatish, and his family.
These past few days have been an emotional rollercoaster. The foreseeable future will be as well.
I made a decision, however, to smile and laugh every chance I get.
Because the grief comes in waves and the tears inevitably drown every bit of happiness out.
